1969 Boss 302

The car was judged in the 1999 MCA concourse class documenting the car with matching number drivetrain.  Judging sheets are available with all paperwork going with the car.  Marti report included.  1969 Boss 302s are very rare in production with only 1,628 cars built.  They were rare when new and even more rare today with original drivetrain. With over 7000 1970 Boss 302s built the 69 represents a blue chip investment grade purchase particularly with a documented, judged car with paperwork like this car. 75K plus original miles this car was in exceptional original condition with many items on the car original and unrestored that were too nice to replace.  Originality along with a proper factory concourse restoration makes this car very special indeed.  It is hard to find a high quality original 69 Boss 302 with original drive train.  They are that rare.  Original build sheet and window sticker invoice comes with the car.  Built for Trans AM racing they dominated the field in 69 stealing the Championship.

Please read on for more particulars of the car

Body/Paint:
The body is excellent. No rust or damage, it is absolutely straight and the original factory gaps exist. The front wheel well lips are folded in on Boss 302s only to clear the 15 inch wheels. They were only available in 4 colors, this one is repainted in its original Bright Yellow. The 20+ year old paint still looks amazing. It has a smooth glossy finish, minor imperfections if you look for them. They all have a blacked out hood, trunk lid, tail panel and headlight buckets. They also have reflective stripes, sport mirrors and a front spoiler. This one came with the optional rear spoiler, correct louvers were added.

Interior:  The interior is excellent. It looks and fits great. Dash pad is mint. Instrument panel is real nice with factory tachometer. All the knobs, bezels, heater controls, radio are real nice. Upholstery and cushions are great. Tight headliner is excellent. Door panels are excellent including armrests, handles etc. The plastic trim pieces are excellent. Interior lights work. Complete set of unrestored seatbelts. The interior has shows a lot of originality and is super nice.  Power steering and power brakes.  Much originality to the trunk with proper mat and space savor original spare with correct jack.

Running Gear:   Concourse restored to factory specs and super clean. Correct casting code C8FE 6015 B, the vin is on the block behind the intake that matches the car. These motors were unique. They used a stronger 4 bolt main Windsor block with big Cleveland heads that had huge ports and valves, solid lifter cam and more. On top is correct aluminum intake and #s match Holley 780 carb, originals are almost impossible to find.  The air cleaner assembly is restored and complete. It still has the rev limiter and complete smog system. The hoses, clamps, plug wires are correct. The metal is perfectly clean with smooth paint finishes. The proper stickers, markings and tags are in place.  The washer system is complete.  It has the original correct top loader 4-speed. 3.50 traction lock rear as original all restored.
