For Sale: 2007 Shelby GT in Jacksonville, Florida

Vehicle Description

8/1/2023

Selling my 2007 Shelby GT-350. $35,000 obo. CSM#-07SGT4448.  Only 1,771 performance white, 5 speed Shelby GT's were produced.  If it doesn't have a CSM number it's not a REAL Shelby.  Under 16,000 original miles.  She's averaging 1k miles a year, a true survivor car, original paint and striping.  Only things not factory original are the tinted windows (a must in Florida) and muffler/cat delete with tune ( I have in case anyone wants to put them back on).  Sounds and looks great.  Never been in an accident, clear title in hand.  Always garaged kept or covered.

Advertised as Shelby GT-350's but technically are Shelby GT's (even though if you google them it says they are GT-350s) these Shelby's were made by Ford as a Ford Mustang GT, then they were shipped to Shelby America in Las Vegas to become Shelby GT's, same as the Shelby's of the 60's. All GT-500s are built by Ford, never touched by Shelby America unless KRs. I had a 2007 GT-500 and this is waaaay more fun to drive. She has her completely original naturally aspirated 281 small block V8.  Cousin to the original 289s which is awesome. The Shelby upgrades completed at Shelby America in Vegas are a lot.  Shelby lowered them 1.5 inches and swapped out stock rear end for a 8.8 inch solid axle with 3.55 rear end.  Springs are 60% stiffer than production line mustang GT's including GT-500s were.  Lots of stabilizing was added by Shelby, front and rear dampers, lowering springs, front and rear sway bars, strut tower brace (seen in engine pic).  Very fun to drive and turns a lot of heads.  Just driving down the road you know it feels like a track car.  Shelby also replaced stock exhaust with a X-pipe exhaust, Hurst short throw shifter, very tight and short pattern, 90mm cold air intake.  Carroll Shelby wanted it to look old school so Shelby put on hood scoop, hood pins, powered by Ford fender badges, silver racing stripe, Shelby grill and other Shelby items.  These are the original rims not the original rubber.  when I replaced the tires I took pics of the TPMS bands which show they are the original rims from 2007.   Due to the handling upgrades you can really use all the power of the car.

Have the original owners manual and ALL the inserts that came with it. Due to lowering, they don't have a spare tire, comes with a temporary mobility kit. It inflates the tire and puts a compound in it to stop the leak.  One other think I have done over time is the hood pins are notorious for sliding out and then they cause the chips.  so I put those anchors to keep that from happening.  Have original hood pins.  Original paint and stripping are still on her,  many folks are replacing them by painting, and I've thought about it but original paint and strips are pretty kewl.

The $35,000 question, why am I selling this? Again.  I'm a 50 year old 100% disabled vet worth increasing health issues.  So it needs to go to someone who can drive it the way Carroll Shelby wanted.  Any questions just ask, I'll do my best to answer them.  Thank you.
