Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this
1988 Volvo 240. The 200 series was first put into production in
1974 and lasted until 1993. You can't fool the public, and with
over 2.8 million Volvo 240/260s sold during their lifetime, the
message is clear that these cars are well-built. Painted in light
blue, this 240 stands out from the regular sedans. Under the hood
is the famed "Redblock" B230F 2.3 liter 4-cylinder engine mated to
the 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The front bucket
seats and rear bench are trimmed in dark blue cloth with matching
door panels and a nicely contrasting tan headliner. Interior
amenities include air conditioning, a locking glovebox, updated
Sony radio with Infinity speakers, manual windows, and locks. The
four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, an
analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level and
the six-digit odometer shows 120k miles, although true mileage is
unknown. This is a long-term, highly cherished car that has been
treated with all the right care and investments, so you know this
makes for an awesome European classic!
