The Tri-5 Chevys have got to be one of the most iconic cars for the
Boomers in our society. The 55,56 and 57 Chevrolets are the cars
that a generation grew up in, restored them, modified them and
cruised in for many decades now. I think the development and the
refinement of the V8 engine had a lot to do with it as these could
be tuned and modified from the family grocery getter to a hot rod
pretty easily. This particular 57 Bel Air 2 door hardtop features a
very healthy NOT stock 350 Cubic inch engine with cam, Edelbrock
carb, high volume oil pump mated to a Turbo 350 transmission. It
also has a Aluminum radiator, 3.70 rear end and flow master
mufflers. It is painted in a vibrant yellow that shows very well
with excellent chrome and trim all the way around. The interior is
extremely clean with extra gauges, seat belts all sitting on 14"
radial tires. This Bel Air starts perfectly, idles nicely, shift
great and goes down the road very comfortably. I think the chrome
bumpers and trim would cost about $15,000 to do it now so I think
this is a pretty solid deal for a really nice show and go car. Car
comes with some spares, fender skirts, tech manuals, original paint
code/can and receipts.
