Collegium registration is $10.00. Yes, only $10 for as many classes as you will. Makes checks payable to "SCA Inc./Collegium Caidis". Non-Member Surcharge for non-SCA members: $3.00.
Registration must be done by U.S. Postal service. No overnight, special delivery or signature requested, please!!! The mailing address is under "Registrar," under "Collegium Caidis," on the inside back cover of the Crown Prints.
All Regents and their deputies are encouraged to attend a lunch meeting on Sunday from 1-2 pm to discuss Spring 2004 Collegium.
From 10 Freeway, exit Indian Hill (exit #47), go north, turn right on Bonita. Go through Claremont Village, turn left (north) on College Ave., and head to 6th Street (just after the gates; turn right on 6th street to find parking lots. Parking will be on College Ave., on 5th Street, or in the lots of 6th Street. Parking is free on Weekends.
From 210 Freeway from LA going east: get off at the end of the freeway onto Foothill Blvd. Follow Foothill East until Indian Hill Blvd. Turn right (south) and either turn left on 6th Street (east) over to the college for parking lots, or turn left (east) on Bonita, through the Claremont Village, following the direction from above: turn left (north) on College Ave., and head to 6th Street (just after the gates; turn right on 6th street to find parking lots. Parking will be on College Ave., on 5th Street, or in the lots of 6th Street. Parking is free on Weekends.
Map of Pomona College. We will be using the Carnegie Building, Pearsons Hall, and the Smith Campus Center. They will have large painted signs on them. An effort has been made to make sure areas are accessible for people who use wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.
Bring note-taking supplies for all classes. Pay particular attention to any special student needs suggested by the instructor in the class descriptions. Saturday Night at Collegium from 7:00pm, til we can't dance anymore. There will be a revel!
Master Gregory Blount from the Kingdom of Atlantia will be there to lead dancing. He will also be teaching a class on Italian Dance on Saturday from 2 to 4.
Coxcomb's Academy's Masters Henry Best and Matthew Christopher from the Midrealm will be leading their students in providing entertainment for the revelers.
The Laurels of Caid have agreed to provide Period snacks and drinks for us.
Musicians are being tracked down for live music for dancing. (Hint: If you would like to volunteer to play, please contact me [ ].
And Most Importantly, we have the Ballroom till 4pm on Sunday.
The Ballroom is located in the Smith Campus Center of Pomona College. For people attending Collegium earlier in the day this is the building where Collegium registration will be held.
Please come join us.
Maps of nearby resturants, take-out and delivery will be provided. Or have a picnic potluck on one of the many beautiful lawns at the college.
